Skeleton Keys to the Game

Every sports fan knows if you want your team to win, you better hope it follows the “Keys to the Game,” usually laid out by the color commentator just before game time.

The observant sports fan might have noticed that sometimes the “Keys to the Game” seem repetitive. This is not an illusion. Often times keys to a certain game can be used in other games.

Below are the “Skeleton Keys to the Game.” In a pinch, these keys can be applied to any game and if followed will ensure victory.

1. Win the turnover battle

2. Make them one dimensional

3. Keep your poise

4. Get to the loose balls

5. Dictate the tempo

6. The bench needs to step up

7. Stick to the game plan

8. Win the battle on third down

9. Don’t let Marjle get loose
